Amsterdash: Support
Questions, problems, or something that looks wrong? Write to us.
We read everything. Say which device you are on and what happened, and we will get back to you.
Common questions
How do I get my name off the leaderboard?
Email us the name you used and we will remove that row. You can also just never enter a name: the game is fully playable without the leaderboard.
My stroopwafels and best score are gone
Progress is saved on your device, not on a server. Deleting the app, or clearing the site data in your browser, erases it. There is no account to restore from, so there is unfortunately nothing we can bring back.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Riding, the shop and your progress all work offline. Only the leaderboard needs a connection.
Someone has a rude name
Tap the flag next to it on the leaderboard. The name disappears from your screen straight away, and we get a report to remove it for everyone.
Someone has an impossible score
Every submitted score carries a replay of the ride with it, so we can re-play it with the same simulation and see whether it holds up. Tell us which name looks wrong and we will check it.
The game runs slowly
Amsterdash draws the whole city in 3D. On an older device, closing other apps helps. Let us know which device you have: that is exactly the kind of report that gets it fixed.
Why am I seeing ads?
The app is free, and ads can help pay for it. There is at most one kind: a short video between rides, at most once every few rides. Nothing interrupts a ride, and nothing is hidden behind watching one.
Do the ads follow me around?
No. We ask Google for non-personalised ads, so no profile is built to pick them, and the app never asks permission to track you across other apps. The website has no ads at all. The full story is in the privacy policy.
